Through two weeks, LeSean McCoy has 130 rush yards on 32 carries and 73 yards on six catches. It's actually not a terrible tally upon first glance -- he's averaging 4.1 yards per carry and 12.2 yards per catch -- but he's watched teammates Karlos Williams and Anthony Dixon steal touchdowns from him ... three in two games, to be exact.
But it feels like more people know about McCoy not scoring than his total yardage prowess. For example, did you know that the 203 total yards he has are eighth among running backs so far this season? Or that he's tied for the 16th best rusher in Fantasy at this point? Or that he actually had a touchdown called back already this season?
McCoy is a pretty good option at running back, one who should still warrant a decent price tag. But maybe the guy who took McCoy in your league's draft is unhappy and wants to move him. He's among the top players on CBS Sports' most traded list, so people are wheeling and dealing.
What has Shady brought back in trade? Let's take a peek at some actual trades made in CBS Sports Fantasy leagues.
LeSean McCoy for DeMarco Murray: This is one of those "grass is greener on the other side" types of deals. People who drafted McCoy think he stinks and would rather try their luck with Murray, and people who had Murray are scared of his rushing average and are jumping on the McCoy bandwagon. It's close, but I'd rather have McCoy.
LeSean McCoy for Arian Foster: I'm not so sure why someone would draft Foster, wait until he's about ready to come back and then trade him for McCoy. Regardless of league format, Foster carries more value even though he hasn't taken a snap.
LeSean McCoy for Emmanuel Sanders: A perfect deal in a standard league. Sanders has an obvious edge in PPR.
LeSean McCoy and Amari Cooper for Demaryius Thomas: Here's a perfect example of people freaking out because McCoy hasn't scored a touchdown yet. Giving up McCoy and Cooper for Thomas is just too much.
LeSean McCoy and Golden Tate for Mark Ingram and Roddy White: The running backs are even but Tate is a better Fantasy option than White because he's younger, faster and healthier.
LeSean McCoy, A.J. Green and Arian Foster for Dez Bryant, Keenan Allen and Jamaal Charles: Even if everyone here was healthy the side getting McCoy and Foster would be ahead of the game. But now that Bryant is out for a while and Allen has come back down to earth, it's a decidedly one-sided deal.
What are the Trade Values? The chart is designed to help guide you in making fair trades in your standard-scoring or PPR leagues. The values assigned to the players below are a long-term measurement of their Fantasy value. By adding two players' values you could determine what one player you should be able to get in return. This list should also work as a "Rest of Season" rankings. Also, any player not on the chart should be considered valued at no more than two points.
