  • Understanding the financial aid process at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) is vital to ensure that you can maximize your potential aid package. UWSP offers a variety of scholarships and aid programs to help make your education more affordable. First, be sure to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible after it becomes available on October 1st. Meeting this deadline ensures the best possible financial aid package, including Wisconsin state grants where eligibility permits. In addition to need-based financial aid, UWSP offers several merit-based scholarships. Incoming freshmen can apply for the University Scholarship, which provides awards ranging from $500 to $2,000 per year. Selection for this scholarship is based on academic achievement, leadership qualities, and personal achievement. UWSP also offers scholarships specific to certain colleges and departments within the university.
